2023 Mercedes GLS gets sharper looks, new features and updated engines

2023 Mercedes GLS revealed, the facelifted SUV freshens up to take on the updated rivals. There are some visual changes and the equipment list has been updated as well.

The SUV had a two-slat front grille that has now grown into a four-slate huge grille that dominates the front profile. The headlights have been updated with new light elements inside and revised DRLs design. The front bumper looks sportier as well.

Coming to the side you can see the new alloy wheel design, these are 20-inch wheels. The rear profile looks very similar but gets an all-new bumper along with new tail lights.

Along with the standard version, Mercedes has also revealed the AMG and Maybach versions of the GLS that look cool as well.

The interior too gets some changes including the new steering wheel design options, new colour tone options and more trim options.

Mercedes has also upgraded the standard equipment on offer and there are new options to choose from. It also comes with updated generation of the infotainment system MBUX. It comes with three different styles (classic, sporty, discreet) and three modes (Navigation, Assistance, Service). The standard Parking Package with 360‑degree camera offers the “transparent bonnet” function.

Engine options remain unchanged but all the powertrains now get 48V mild hybrid tech as standard. We can expect Mercedes-Benz to introduce the new GLS in India by the end of this year or early next year.
