New Hyundai Santa Fe doesn’t offer a diesel engine option

Fifth generation Hyundai Santa Fe revealed last month. Hyundai showed us the first glimpse of the new generation SUV with some pictures and a vague idea about the interior. Now, the carmaker has revealed all the details of the SUV.

Engine

Let’s get straight into the engine options of the new SUV. The new model comes with multiple petrol and hybrid engine options, depending on the market. There is no diesel engine on offer with the new model.

First up is a 2.5-litre turbo petrol engine which produces 281 PS and 421 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed DCT automatic. This engine does 0-100 km/hr in 8 seconds and has a top speed of 210 km/hr. Then there is a 1.6-litre turbo hybrid petrol motor producing 180 PS and 265 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. This engine does 0-100 km/hr in 9.5 seconds and has a top speed of 190 km/hr.

Hyundai is also offering a 1.6-litre turbo petrol plug-in hybrid engine producing 160 PS and 265 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. This engine does 0-100 km/hr in 9.1 seconds and has a top speed of 190 km/hr. Lastly, there is a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 194 PS and 246 Nm torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This motor does 0-100 km/hr in 11.5 seconds and has a top speed of 198 km/hr.

Exterior

Hyundai is offering 10 exterior colours with the new Santa Fe in the global markets – Abyss Black Pearl, Creamy White Pearl, Creamy White Matte, Typhoon Silver Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Ocado Green Pearl, Terracotta Orange, Cyber Sage Pearl, Earthy Brass Metallic Matte and Pebble Blue Pearl.

It measures 4830 mm in length, 1900 mm in width and 1730 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2815 mm.

Interior

The new Hyundai Santa Fe is available in 5 interior colours – Obsidian Black, Supersonic Gray, Pecan Brown, Forest Green and Black Ink.

It comes with UV-C Sterilization Tray and dual wireless charging system for smartphones, Panoramic Curved Display with 12.3-inch screens for digital cluster and infotainment system, fully foldable second-and third-row seats, etc.

Features

First row offers Relaxation Seat with Leg Rest, Ergo Motion Seat, 6.6-inch full-touch climate control display, second-row power-reclining independent seats, second-row power fold-and-dive seats, Bilateral Multi-Console storage space, Digital Center Mirror, etc.

Other convenience features include high-speed dual wireless charging system for smartphones, C-type USB terminal, Digital Key 2 for vehicle access/startup and remote control via the customers’ smartphone, Near-field Communication (NFC), Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Ultra-wideband (UWB) protocols.

Radar-based Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) helps to remind the driver about rear occupants as a safety precaution after the ignition is turned off.

Driver Assistance & Safety Features

For driver assistance and safety tech, the new Hyundai Santa Fe is equipped with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2, Lane Following Assist 2, New Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Driver Monitoring System (DMS), Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control 2, Highway Driving Assist 2, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Rear View Monitor, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Front/Rear Parking Distance Warning, Surround View Monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist and Safe Exit Assist.
