Maruti Suzuki has launched yet another limited edition and this time it is the Swift Windsong Edition. Let us have a close look at this special edition of the Swift.

Maruti Suzuki is very well known for launching limited editions of their vehicles every now and then. Most of these limited editions are plain useless since they come with basic accessories that can be added at the aftermarket level, while some limited editions come with useful accessories on cars and these variants are usually preferred by those who don’t like going here and there for fitting extra accessories and want peace of mind with company-fitted stuff. So, the Maruti Swift Windsong Edition is also one such limited edtion that the company has just recently launched.

Talking about the Swift Windsong Edition, the very first thing that we notice are the thin black racing stripes that run across the bonnet, roof and hatch gate. On the side, you see those cheesy graphics in a blend of black and yellow colours and frankly, these make the car look like it is promoting some brand or makes it look like a demo car. The wheel caps get a new design now. Moving to the interiors, the first thing that you notice are the bright yellow accents. The steering wheel gets a black leather cover with a thick yellow border and the seats too get black covers with yellow linings. The vehicle comes with illuminated door step sills, Swift badged floor mats, blue lighting and a Sony touchscreen audio system. The rear gets a tiny Windsong Edition badge, apart from the racing stripes and spoiler.

The Maruti Swift Windsong Edition gets no mechanical changes at all. The petrol variants continue to draw power from the 1.2-litre K-Series engine while the diesel variants get the 1.3-litre MultiJet DDiS engine. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Swift Windsong Edition will be available in the VXi and VDi variants and surprisingly, the Windsong variants are slightly cheaper than the regular VXi and VDi variants.
