Bajaj Launched The Updated NS400Z, Gets 42.4 HP & Apollo H1 Alpha Tyres

Bajaj has launched the updated NS400Z. For 2025, the NS400Z gets features like a bidirectional quickshifter, grippier tyres and increased power output. The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is priced at Rs. 1.92 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Engine Changes

The same 373cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine powers the NS400Z. However, it now produces 42.4 HP at 9000 RPM, which is more than the previous 39.5 HP, and 35 NM of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a bidirectional quickshifter.

Tyres & Braking

The brand has also given the NS400Z better tyres for 2025. The NS400Z gets Apollo H1 Alpha tyres, measuring 110/70 R17 at the front and wider 150/60 R17 at the rear. Previously, the NS400Z used MRF Revz tyres, which were the narrower 140-section at the rear, which gave less grip.

The Pulsar NS400Z replaces the organic brake pads in favour of sintered brake pads. This upgrade will provide better stopping power and reduce brake fade in specific scenarios.

Outlook

Bajaj prices the new NS400Z at Rs. 1.92 Lakh (ex-showroom). Despite these upgrades and increased price, the bike retains its value for money status in the segment. However, it remains to be seen how these upgrades elevate the riding experience in real life.
