Bajaj Discontinues The Pulsar N150, Faced Tough Competition From The Pulsar N150 & Pulsar N160
Bajaj has discontinued the Pulsar N150 in India. The brand has removed the model from its official website. The N150 was positioned between Pulsar 1550 and the N160 and faced tough competition from its siblings.
Market Postioning
The Pulsar 150 caters to traditional Pulsar buyers, whereas the Pulsar N160 is made for enthusiasts. This puts the Pulsar N150 in a difficult spot as the N160 offers more equipment and a better engine at a similar price point. The introduction of the single-seat Pulsar N160 reduced the price difference with the N150.
Engine
The Pulsar N150 is powered by a 149.68cc single-cylinder engine. It produces 15.68 HP at 8750 RPM and 14.65 NM of torque at 6750 RPM. The engine pairs with a 5-speed gearbox.
Bajaj will not bring a replacement for the Pulsar N150. This is because it appears that the brand is trying to streamline the range with the Pulsar 150 and Pulsar N160.
