Yezdi Scrambler’s 2025 update brings major weight loss, engine tweaks & better suspension
Classic Legends is preparing a major update for the Yezdi Scrambler, with significant mechanical changes aimed at improving performance and rider comfort. The refreshed model is expected to be introduced within the next couple of months, following the recent launches of the updated Yezdi Adventure and Yezdi Roadster.
Focus on Weight Reduction
While the Adventure and Roadster retained their weight in recent updates, the Scrambler is set for a more dramatic transformation. Company co-founder Anupam Thareja has indicated that engineers are targeting a reduction of around 15-20 kg from the current 192 kg kerb weight. This is expected to be achieved through changes such as switching to a single-exhaust setup, similar to the Yezdi Adventure and weight savings in the engine.
Updated Powertrain
The new Scrambler will adopt the 334cc Alpha 2 engine already seen in models like the Jawa 350, Jawa 42 FJ, Yezdi Adventure and Yezdi Roadster. However, the Scrambler could debut with additional updates to improve performance, potentially making it the most responsive and quickest-accelerating motorcycle in Classic Legends’ current 334cc lineup. It will also feature a revised sprocket configuration to enhance acceleration.
Suspension Improvements
Addressing one of the major criticisms of the current model, the updated Scrambler will feature revised suspension. While details remain under wraps, speculation suggests it could adopt the Yezdi Adventure’s frame and a monoshock setup, which would not only improve ride comfort but also contribute to the planned weight reduction.
With these changes, the 2025 Yezdi Scrambler is positioned to offer a lighter, faster and more refined riding experience, appealing to both enthusiasts and everyday riders.
