Maruti Suzuki reveals full pricing, variants and battery plans for e Vitara

Maruti Suzuki has released the complete price structure for its e Vitara electric SUV, outlining both the standard purchase cost and the optional Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) subscription model. The electric SUV will be offered in three trim levels and the announced introductory prices remain applicable until 31st March. Buyers will also receive a home charging unit along with installation support.

Under the BaaS plan, customers pay a lower upfront vehicle price while subscribing separately for battery usage on a per-kilometre basis. In this configuration, the Delta variant with the 49kWh battery is priced from Rs. 10.99 lakhs (ex-showroom), with battery usage charged at Rs. 3.99 per kilometre. The Zeta and Alpha trims, both paired with the larger 61kWh battery pack, are listed at Rs. 11.99 lakhs and Rs. 14.29 lakhs respectively, with the usage fee set at Rs. 4.39 per kilometre.

For buyers who prefer full ownership including the battery, the Delta 49kWh version is priced at Rs. 15.99 lakhs, while the Zeta 61kWh costs Rs. 17.49 lakhs and the top-spec Alpha 61kWh is priced at Rs. 19.79 lakhs (all ex-showroom).

A dual-tone exterior finish is offered only on the Alpha trim and carries an additional charge of Rs. 21,000.

In terms of specifications, the smaller 49kWh battery version produces 142 BHP and is claimed to deliver a driving range of up to 440 km. The larger 61kWh pack generates 172 BHP and has a claimed range of 543 km.

Equipment highlights on the e Vitara include a fixed panoramic-style glass roof, a 10.25-inch infotainment display, wireless phone charging, a 360-degree camera system, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats and Level-2 advanced driver assistance systems.

With this launch, Maruti Suzuki enters the growing electric SUV segment, where the e Vitara will compete with offerings such as the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, Mahindra BE 6, VinFast VF 6 and MG Windsor EV.
