After the success of the VF 6 and VF 7 in India, Vietnamese automaker VinFast is gearing up for further launches in India. First one of course is the VF MPV 7 which is a 7-seater that will be launched on 15th April 2026 and deliveries will commence on the same day.
Bookings for the MPV 7 have already commenced for an amount of Rs. 21,000/-. The vehicle measures 4740 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2840 mm. It has a 60.13 kWh battery and features like driving modes, TPMS, leatherette upholstery, all windows auto up/down, 10.1 inch infotainment system, and 19-inch wheels.
It delivers 201 HP and 280 Nm and the claimed range is 500 kms (MIDC). The car has a boot space of 515-litres with the third row folded. The vehicle is based on a different platform from the VF 6 and VF 7 and the suspension has been tuned specifically for India with McPherson struts up front and a multi-link setup at the rear.
The AC compressor has been made more powerful for India and there is a possibility of the India-spec model getting a frunk too. Apart from this, VinFast will sell the Limo Green in the fleet segment in India.
VinFast is also planning to expand their footprint to 75 showrooms in India by the end of this year and they will be launching their scooters in the second half of 2026 as well. There will be a separate chain of showrooms for their two-wheelers.
VinFast is also planning to launch their cab service GSM (Green & Smart Mobility) in India with their own vehicles. Finally, the automaker is also evaluating the electric bus segment in India.
VinFast does seem to have a lot of aggressive plans for expanding their presence in India.
