Bajaj Pulsar N125

Bajaj Auto has discontinued the Pulsar N125 in the Indian market, bringing an end to the model less than two years after its launch. The motorcycle will, however, continue to be available in select international markets where it remains on sale.

Introduced in October 2024, the Pulsar N125 was built on an entirely new platform rather than sharing its underpinnings with other motorcycles in the Pulsar range. It featured a newly developed engine, a fresh chassis and a lightweight construction, resulting in a kerb weight of just 125 kg. The motorcycle also adopted a distinct design language that differed significantly from other models in the segment.

Despite its unique engineering and styling, the Pulsar N125 struggled to gain traction among Indian buyers. The motorcycle’s slim proportions and unconventional appearance contrasted with competitors that offered a more muscular and sporty visual appeal. Rivals in the 125cc segment have generally attracted customers with larger-looking designs and feature-rich packages.

The Pulsar N125 also missed out on some equipment that has become increasingly common in the segment, including a TFT instrument console and ABS, which may have affected its competitiveness. While the motorcycle is still listed on Bajaj Auto’s official India website, dealer dispatches have reportedly been stopped, indicating the model has been phased out from the domestic lineup.

Although the Pulsar N125 is no longer available in India, Bajaj Auto continues to retail the motorcycle in several overseas markets, including Nepal, Peru, Colombia and Morocco. It remains to be seen whether the company will reintroduce the platform in India in the future with updated styling or additional features.
