Nissan Tekton Visia

Nissan has revealed the details of the entry-level Tekton Visia 160 MT, which is priced at Rs. 10.49 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is the most affordable variant in the Tekton lineup and is available only with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Although it is the base variant, the Tekton Visia retains much of the SUV’s exterior styling. It comes with LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, body-coloured ORVMs and door handles, along with Tekton lettering on the bonnet. The SUV rides on 17-inch steel wheels.

Inside, the cabin layout is similar to the higher variants but misses out on a touchscreen infotainment system. Instead, buyers get a digital instrument cluster and a four-speaker Arkamys audio system that can be operated through the instrument display. Other features include power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, manual air conditioning with rear AC vents and driver seat height adjustment.

Powering the Tekton Visia is a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that develops 99 BHP and 166 Nm of torque. The engine is offered only with a 6-speed manual transmission, and Nissan claims a fuel efficiency of 19.5 km/l.

Safety equipment remains unchanged across the Tekton range. The Visia comes standard with six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and a five-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.

Buyers looking for additional convenience features can consider the Visia+ variant, which is priced at Rs. 11.14 lakh. For an additional Rs. 65,000, it adds a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, steering-mounted audio controls and a rear-view camera.
