CFMoto 300SR Launch Takes Place In The Phlippines

CFMoto 300SR Front — The motorcycle has all the goods to deliver in its segment

The CFMoto 300SR entry-level sportsbike has been launched in the Philippines and the motorcycle is priced at PHP 165,000 or Rs. 2.54 lakhs in Indian money. The “SR” in the motorcycle’s name denotes “Sport Racing” according to its maker.

Its manufacturer says the 300SR is a “high-value product (that) CFMoto offers to consumers with unique and sophisticated design, combined with excellent handling and agility”, while going on to add that it will be another highly competitive player without a doubt in the entry-level sportsbike market.

Design-wise, the CFMoto 300SR gets a full fairing, with the face resembling that of the Apache RR 310 from TVS. The wind deflector is short, the fuel tank is styled well, while the tail section gets a split seat and sports a neatly-styled tail lamp.

Powering the bike is a 292.4 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that makes a maximum power output of 29 HP at 8750 RPM and 25.3 Nm of peak torque at 7250 RPM. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

A Bosch fuel management system works with the engine, while the dual-coated piston is said to minimise friction and add to it a built-in balancer shaft, the motor should be free from vibrations.

Suspension-wise, the bike features USD forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear, while braking is done by a single 292 mm disc upfront and a 220 mm disc at the rear and ABS is present.

Overall, the bike weighs 165 kgs, has a 12-litre fuel tank and the seat height is 780 mm, which is very good indeed.

Other features offered on the CFMoto 300SR launch bike include all LED-lighting, TFT instrument console, along with a whole host of accessories and options for customising the bike with aesthetic and performance parts.

We expect CFMoto to launch the bike in India with a competitive price tag, but it might happen only after the Indian bike line-up gets updated to comply with BS6 emissions regulations.
