Ducati has launched its flagship adventure tourer bike in India.

Ducati Multistrada 1260 launched in two colours – Ducati Red and Sand

Ducati has launched the Multistrada 1260 Enduro adventure bike at a whopping price of Rs. 19.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The bike gets a new powertrain, fresh features and revamped electronics suite. Available in two colours – Ducati Red (Rs. 19.99 lakhs, ex-showroom) and Sand (Rs. 20.23 lakhs, ex-showroom), the Multistrada 1260 Enduro rivals the Triumph Tiger 1200 XCx ( Rs. 17 lakhs, ex-showroom ) and the BMW R 1250 GS ( Rs. 16.8 lakhs, ex-showroom).

The new Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro is powered by the 1262cc Testastretta DVT (Ducati Variable Timing) engine. The DVT engine claims to offer pulling power right from the low-to-mid rev range with 85% of maximum torque already available below 3500 RPM with a 17% increase at 5500 RPM as compared to the torque curve on the engine of the previous model. The engine produces 158 PS of power and 127 Nm of torque.

The Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro gets spoked wheels – 19-inch at the front and 17-inch at the rear instead of cast alloy wheels offered with the standard Ducati Multistrada 1260. The bike has a range of 450 kms on its 30-litres fuel tank and features an electronic semi-active Sachs suspension. It comes with Ride By Wire, and four riding modes – Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro.

The Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro gets a 5-inch, full-colour TFT display and the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS) that connects the bike to the rider’s phone via Bluetooth.

The new electronics package gets a 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) which controls the Bosch Cornering ABS, Ducati Cornering Lights and Ducati Wheelie Control. Both the Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Control systems can be adjusted to eight different levels and can be completely deactivated as well. The Multistrada 1260 Enduro also has standard Vehicle Hold Control (VHC), which assists uphill rides.

Bookings for the new Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro are currently open across all Ducati dealerships in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
