Ferrari has revealed their first family car and the much awaited crossover

Ferrari Purosangue revealed, the carmaker’s first attempt at making a production 4-door car. The prancing horse is a bit late to the party after Lamborghini and Aston Martin launched their performance SUVs. Let’s see what’s in store for Ferrari fans.

In terms of styling, it looks like a Ferrari Roma on steroids. The front profile has a long hood with an aggressive grille and bumper design. It doesn’t look like an SUV at all, it is a crossover and from the side profile it looks like a big hatchback.

The rear profile gets Roma inspired tail lamps and a muscular bumper with a huge diffuser. Compared to its rivals, the Purosangue looks a tad smaller and shorter.

Interior looks sporty yet luxurious

The interior is unique having a twin-pod design dashboard. The three-spoke steering wheel looks sporty and has a ton of buttons for drive modes, infotainment system, instrument cluster controls, etc. There is no centrally mounted touchscreen, both the driver and passenger get their own displays. It comes with Rolls-Royce inspired suicide doors.

Now let’s talk about what’s under the hood. The performance crossover is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 naturally aspirated engine that produces 715 HP and 716 Nm of torque. It is mated ti an 8-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.

It does 0-100 km/hr in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 310 km/hr. The car is expected to come with a starting price of €390,000 (Rs. 3.10 crores) in the international market. Expect Ferrari to introduce the Purosange in India in 2023. It will compete with the Lamborghini Urus and Aston Martin DBX.
