Hero MotoCorp Bike Navigation System Being Readied

Hero Splendor iSmart 110 Instrument Cluster

Hero MotoCorp is working on a basic navigation system that will be offered on their upcoming bikes.

The iON is one of the futuristic products that Hero has showcased in the past

Hero MotoCorp has showcased some futuristic products in the past, a la iON, but now it has been learnt that the company is working on a new navigation system for its future bikes. The navigation system will be included in the instrument cluster and it is going to be a basic unit and not a full-fledged one.

Riders will be able to pair their phones with the navigation system. They then need to enter their destination in their mobile phone and the navigation screen on the bike will show right, left and straight arrows. The arrows will grow bigger in size when the bike comes close to the turn. Apart from that, it will also feature voice commands and will have a speaker too, which will give voice prompts.

The navigation system has been developed keeping all smart phones in mind but primary focus has been kept on Android and iOS devices. Hero will be launching a new adventure bike in the next two years and the navigation system will most likely make its debut with that bike.
