Honda CB1000GT, WN7 Electric Motorcycle, V3R 900E Compressor Prototype, and More

At EICMA 2025, Honda made a powerful statement on the evolution of performance and electrification in its global motorcycle portfolio. From advanced sport-tourers to futuristic EV concepts, Honda showcased its deep commitment to innovation and riding pleasure. The spotlight was shared between the debuting CB1000GT, the brand’s first all-electric motorcycle WN7, and the groundbreaking V3R 900E Compressor Prototype, each illustrating a different frontier in Honda’s ongoing pursuit of the ultimate riding experience.

Adding to the excitement, Honda also expanded its E-Clutch technology lineup, now available across the 26YM XL750 Transalp, CB750 Hornet, NX500, CBR500R, and CB500F Hornet marking a major step in semi-automatic convenience for everyday riders.

Honda CB1000GT

The all-new Honda CB1000GT is a grand tourer engineered to blend high-speed touring comfort with sharp, sport-inspired handling. Powered by the Fireblade-derived inline-four engine that also drives the CB1000 Hornet, the CB1000GT brings an exciting mix of performance and sophistication.

It features Showa EERA (Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment) suspension for superior damping control, while CFD optimised bodywork enhances aerodynamic stability and weather protection for long-distance travel. Honda has left no stone unturned in equipping the GT for comfort and control with cornering ABS, cruise control, heated grips, auto-cancelling indicators, and Honda RoadSync connectivity come standard.

With its aggressive yet elegant design lines and factory-fitted rear panniers, the CB1000GT stands as a new benchmark for riders seeking a fully loaded, technology-rich sport tourer that thrives both on highways and winding backroads.

Honda WN7

Making its global debut, the Honda WN7 marks the company’s entry into the electric motorcycle segment under the tagline “Be the Wind.” This A2-license-compliant EV brings Honda’s trademark balance and poise to the electric era.

Built around a 9.3 kWh lithium-ion battery and an 18 kW motor, the WN7 delivers a range of 140 km and supports CCS2 fast charging, achieving 20–80% charge in just 30 minutes. Designed for quiet, refined power delivery and instant acceleration, it promises the signature Honda riding feel in electric form.

Technological highlights include Cornering ABS, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), multiple ride modes, Regenerative Deceleration Selector, and both forward and reverse Walking Speed Assist. Its minimalist, futuristic design showcases a frameless chassis, distinctive LED DRL signature, and a new Honda EV mark, signaling the start of a bold new chapter in the brand’s electric journey.

V3R 900E Compressor Concept

Continuing its legacy of engineering innovation, Honda also unveiled the V3R 900E Compressor Prototype, a next-generation powertrain concept featuring the world’s first electronically controlled compressor for motorcycles.

The 75° water-cooled V3 engine, displacing 900cc, delivers torque and responsiveness comparable to a 1200cc unit by dynamically controlling intake-air compression, ensuring powerful performance even at low rpm. Developed under the concept “Non-rail Rollercoaster”, the V3R 900E aims to combine the thrill of acceleration with effortless stability and control.

Its striking asymmetrical side fairings and the debut of the Honda Flagship Wing emblem highlight its premium intent. The model stands as a milestone in Honda’s ongoing pursuit of advanced, emotion-driven performance with development toward mass production already underway.

With the CB1000GT redefining sport-touring comfort, the WN7 ushering in a refined electric future, and the V3R 900E showcasing cutting-edge engineering, Honda’s showcase at EICMA 2025 encapsulated the brand’s vision: performance, innovation, and emotion, seamlessly integrated for the next generation of riders.
