Hyundai Exter launch date officially announced

Hyundai Exter to launch on 10th July. The South Korean carmaker has officially announced the date and has revealed the new segment first features that will be offered with the Tata Punch rival.

Along with the launch date announcement, Hyundai has also shared the two new features that will be seen for the first time in this segment – electric sunroof and dashcam.

They are calling it a Smart Electric Sunroof, it will respond to voice commands like “Open Sunroof” or “I want to see the sky”. This feature we believe will be offered with the range topping variant.

Other new segment first feature is the dashcam which will be offered with dual front and rear cameras. It will get a 2.31-inch display with Smartphone app based connectivity and Multiple Recording Modes.

The dashcam supports Full HD Video Resolution and is capable of capturing pictures from both front and rear camera. Recording options include Driving (Normal), Event (Safety) and Vacation (Time lapse).

The Hyundai Exter will compete with the Tata Punch and is likely to be priced between Rs. 7-12 lakhs (ex-showroom). Now Mahindra is also coming up with a new compact SUV to compete in this segment, spotted testing recently, you can read more about it HERE.
