Hyundai Verna 4S With Vinyl Wrap Caught In Showroom

A Hyundai Verna wrapped in matte orange colour was spotted at a showroom in the NCR region. It is an aftermarket job done at the dealership level and is offered on all cars at most Hyundai dealerships.

The matte orange colour does not look all that over the top

We have witnessed a tremendous rise in popularity of people wanting to get their cars looking unique and one-off by wrapping them with different coloured vinyl wraps. Mostly popular with the youth of our country, distinctive coloured wraps are available at many stores across the country and anyone can easily slap one on their car after informing the authorities about the colour change. In light of this, though the automotive market in India is getting stronger with each passing day, many car makers are on the lookout for different gimmicks to get sale going even faster.

Hyundai had recently updated the Verna with the 4S model in India, but the sedan hasn’t really been able to cope with the rising popularity of the Honda City and Maruti Ciaz in the segment. Last month 1620 units of the Korean car were sold in the domestic market. One of the company’s dealership has displayed the Verna sedan with a somewhat quirky looking colour. The Hyundai showroom in the NCR (National Capital Region) has given the new Verna a matte orange wrap which some might call too flashy, but the colour suits the vehicle lending it a sporty appeal as well. The ORVMs, door handles and the roof have been given a black wrap, the popularity of which is increasing with each passing day.

Everything else including the interiors and alloy wheels remains the same in the modified Verna. The mod is an aftermarket job and has been carried out by the respective dealer only. Most Hyundai dealerships across the country are offering the same on all cars in the portfolio and is a new strategy adopted by the Korean manufacturer itself. The body vinyl wrapping is expected to cost around Rs. 90,000/- for the Verna, Rs. 70,000/- for Elite i20 and Rs. 55,000/- for the Grand i10 respectively. Let’s wait and watch whether the new concept finds more buyers for Hyundai or not. Anyhow, the matte wrap gels well with the Verna due to its flowing design language, giving it a very sporty character.

It remains to be seen whether this helps in getting more sales or not
