It is of course the Maruti Baleno wich took the first spot in the premium hatchback sales chart for January 2022 with 6791 units.

Hyundai retailed 6505 units of the i20 last month and during the same period Tata sold 4525 units of the Altroz, while Toyota found 1347 new buyers for its Glanza premium hatchback.

The Volkswagen Polo (891 units) and Honda Jazz (588 units) continue to hang on by a mere thread and the entire segment, by registering sales of 20,647 units, posted a 45 percent decline in sales YoY.
