The initial booking amount for the Kia Carens is Rs. 25,000/-
Kia India has announced that the booking slot for the Carens, which will be launched soon, will be open from 14th January, 2022.
The 3-row vehicle can be booked at Kia’s authorised dealerships or through the brand’s Indian website for a token amount of Rs. 25,000/-.
Based on the same platform as the Seltos compact SUV, the Carens, which was globally unveiled last month, is billed as a ‘recreational vehicle’ by the Korean car manufacturer.
Kia will sell the car in 5 grades and they are – Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. A detailed article about the list of features each variant will come with can be read here.
Some of the features the car will come with include ‘Connected Car’ tech, 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, ventilated front seats, BOSE premium sound system and sunroof, among others.
As standard, the car, which will be offered in both 6- and 7-seater layouts, will come with 10 safety features including 6 airbags, ABS, ESC, VSM, BAS and HAC.
Like the Seltos, the Carens will be offered with 3 powertrain options – 1.5-litre petrol (115 PS and 144 Nm) with 6-speed MT, 1.4-litre T-GDi petrol (140 PS and 242 Nm) with 6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT and 1.5-litre CRDi VGT diesel (115 PS and 250 Nm) with 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT.
Since the Kia Carens booking amount has been officially revealed, the fourth new model from the brand for India should be launched by February. Kia will also export the 3-row vehicle from here to 90 countries across the world.
