The Kia Seltos is all set to make its world premier on 20th June, 2019. The Seltos name has been officially confirmed by the Korean carmaker. The name is derived from the Greek Mythology and Legend of Celtos. The launch will happen in the second half of 2019, likely in July or August, before the festive season kickstarts.

The compact SUV is based on the Kia SP concept showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. The exteriors and interiors of the production version are very similar to the concept. The Kia Seltos will be coming with LED headlights and tail lights along with the signature Tiger-nose grille up front.

The interior of the Kia Seltos will feature a huge 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that will offer features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Navigation, etc. The Seltos will be offering mood lighting, adaptive cruise control, steering mounted paddle shifts, etc.

The Korean carmaker is expected to offer 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options with the Kia Seltos. It will come with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. The engines offered are likely to be BS6 compliant at the time of the launch.

The Kia Seltos is expected to be priced at Rs. 9-16 lakhs (ex-showroom). The new compact SUV from Kia will be competing against a range of products in the Indian market including Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur, Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Jeep Compass and Nissan Kicks.
