KTM Duke 160 Digital Cluster

KTM adds TFT-equipped top variant to 160 Duke, priced at Rs. 1.79 lakhs

KTM has expanded the 160 Duke line-up with the launch of a new top-spec variant featuring a TFT instrument cluster. Priced at Rs. 1.79 lakh (ex-showroom), this version sits above the existing base model and carries a premium of around Rs. 8,000.

The key update on the new variant is the addition of a full-colour TFT display, sourced from the larger KTM 390 Duke. With this update, KTM now offers a TFT display option across its India-manufactured Duke range.

The newly introduced TFT unit offers two display themes and retains the same four-way switchgear seen on the standard model. While the display hardware is new, the overall feature list remains unchanged. Bluetooth connectivity continues to be offered, enabling functions such as call alerts, music control and turn-by-turn navigation through KTM’s smartphone application.

KTM will continue to sell the base variant of the 160 Duke with the LCD instrument console alongside this new version. The standard model remains priced at Rs. 1.71 lakh (ex-showroom), giving buyers the option to choose between a lower entry price or a more feature-rich display setup.

The 160 Duke was introduced earlier this year as a replacement for the outgoing 125 Duke, positioning it as the entry point into the Duke family. The move also allowed KTM to better compete with rivals such as the Yamaha MT-15 by offering a higher displacement engine and stronger performance credentials.

Notably, Yamaha had recently updated the MT-15 with a higher-spec variant featuring a TFT instrument cluster, which put it ahead in terms of features. With the introduction of this new variant, KTM has addressed that gap, albeit at a higher price point. While the TFT-equipped 160 Duke is priced higher than the MT-15’s TFT variant, it offers a larger 5-inch display with higher resolution and sharper graphics, compared to Yamaha’s 4.2-inch unit.
