KTM is betting big on its lower capacity Duke motorcycles, the Duke 125, Duke 200 and Duke 390. All these single-cylinder machines are becoming extremely popular amongst the youth, as they offer punchy performance without breaking the bank. KTM has already announced its plans to launch full faired and adventure versions of the the Duke earlier on, as the demand for such style of bikes is on the rise. The Austrian automaker also announced its plans to launch a full faired 250cc motorcycle based on the RC series next year in India.

Now KTM CEO, Mr Stefan Pierer has confirmed to CycleNews about the company’s plans to launch full faired and adventure versions of the Duke 125, Duke 200 and Duke 390. These bikes are likely to be badged as the RC125, RC200 and RC390, with production taking place at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan facility in Pune. The first full faired KTM Duke based bike will be the RC390, set to be launched next year, the RC125 and RC200 will follow in later. These bikes will produce similar output as their naked counterparts.

The styling of these full faired Duke bikes will be inspired form the Moto3 racer. KTM will unveil the full faired trio at the 2013 ECIMA motorcycle show later this year. Expect the full faired bikes to cost around Rs. 50,000/- more than their street-fighter versions. Dual purpose or adventure versions of the Duke 125, 200 and 390 are also being planned but might not be launched in India as the demand for such motorcycles is less. There is no tentative date as to when the Duke based Adventure motorcycles will be launched.
