KTM RC 200 Updated, Gets OBD2B Compliance & Colour TFT Display

KTM has updated the RC 200 with a Colour TFT Display. The RC 200 also complies with the latest OBD2B emission norms. This update has also resulted in a price hike of Rs. 11,000.

The KTM RC200 is now available at Rs. 2.33 Lakh (ex-showroom).

New Paint Scheme

The RC 200 also gets a new paint scheme which incorporates KTM’s colours in a striking manner. It is a mix of black, orange and white. The paint scheme also draws inspiration from the MotoGP edition liveries.

Colour TFT Display

The RC 200’s old LCD panel dated the bike. This helped to keep the price low. However, the new bike incorporates a colour TFT display that is similar to other KTM models. It offers mobile connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation via the MyKTM app.

Engine & Suspension

The KTM RC 200 is powered by the same 199.5cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. It produces 25.4 HP and 19.5 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The RC 200 incorporates a steel trellis frame, providing excellent confidence.

It continues to use the WP Apex upside-down forks and WP rear monoshock setup. The sports bike gets disc brakes in the front and rear, with dual-channel ABS.

Outlook

The new feature additions with the OBD2B regulatory compliance make the RC 200 a better proposition in the market. In terms of competition, it competes with the likes of the Pulsar RC 200 and NS 200.
