Land Rover launches the Defender 110 Trophy Edition in India at Rs. 1.30 crore, celebrating its off-road heritage with unique design, features and performance
Land Rover has introduced the new Defender 110 Trophy Edition in India, priced at Rs. 1.30 crores (ex-showroom). This special edition of the iconic off-road SUV pays tribute to the historic Camel Trophy events, blending the Defender’s rugged heritage with modern luxury and exclusive design enhancements.
Distinctive Design and Features
The Defender 110 Trophy Edition features several cosmetic upgrades and optional accessories that set it apart from the standard Defender 110. It is available in two exclusive paint shades – Deep Sandglow Yellow and Keswick Green, both paired with contrasting black accents on the roof, bonnet, scuff plates, side cladding and wheel arches. Trophy Edition decals on the bonnet and C-pillar further highlight its special-edition identity.
The SUV rides on 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels, with the option of all-season or all-terrain tyres. Buyers can also opt for a range of off-road accessories, including a heavy-duty roof rack, deployable side ladder, side panniers and a black snorkel. A matte protective film can be added to either paint option for additional body protection.
Powertrain and Performance
The Defender 110 Trophy Edition is powered by a 3.0-litre inline-six twin-turbo diesel engine with mild-hybrid technology. The engine generates 350 HP and 700 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and standard four-wheel drive. Land Rover claims a 0-100 km/hr time of 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 191 km/hr, maintaining a balance of performance and capability suited for both on-road and off-road conditions.
Interior and Comfort
Inside, the Trophy Edition carries a premium yet purposeful cabin theme. It features Ebony Windsor leather upholstery, Trophy-branded illuminated sill plates and an exposed crossbeam finished in the chosen exterior colour with laser-etched Trophy branding. These touches underline the vehicle’s tribute to Land Rover’s expedition legacy while ensuring a modern and comfortable driving experience.
Tribute to the Camel Trophy Legacy
The “Trophy Edition” celebrates Land Rover’s connection to the legendary Camel Trophy, an international off-road competition held from 1980 to 2000. Originally sponsored by Camel cigarettes, the event was renowned as the “Olympics of 4x4s,” challenging teams through some of the world’s most demanding terrains. Land Rover vehicles, finished in the signature Sandglow colour, became synonymous with the event’s adventurous spirit – an influence that clearly inspires this new limited-run Defender.
