Lexus introduces RX 350h Exquisite trim, reducing the SUV’s starting price
Lexus has introduced a new entry-level variant for the RX in India, called the RX 350h Exquisite. This replaces the previous Luxury trim and lowers the SUV’s starting price by more than Rs. 6 lakh. The earlier base variant, priced at Rs. 96.13 lakhs, has now been discontinued. Lexus has also reduced the price of the top-spec RX 500h F-Sport+ by Rs. 9 lakh.
The new Exquisite variant becomes the most accessible option in the RX range but retains the same equipment and features that were offered with the outgoing Luxury trim. This means the SUV continues to offer a 14-inch touchscreen, a 360-degree camera, connected car tech, powered front seats with memory, reclining rear seats, ambient lighting and heating and ventilation for both front and rear seats. The standard audio system can be upgraded to a 21-speaker Mark Levinson setup for an additional Rs. 2.03 lakh. Level 2 ADAS continues to be part of the package.
Powering the RX 350h Exquisite is the familiar 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid engine paired with an eCVT automatic transmission. The system develops a combined output of 246 HP and sends power to the front wheels. Lexus claims a 0-100 km/hr time of 7.9 seconds along with a WLTP-certified fuel efficiency of 18.6 km/l, thanks to the strong-hybrid setup.
With the launch of the Exquisite trim and a revision in prices, Lexus aims to make the RX more accessible while strengthening its hybrid SUV portfolio in the Indian luxury segment.
