Mahindra Scorpio N Carbon Edition

Mahindra to launch automatic Scorpio N Z4 variant with petrol, diesel options

Mahindra is preparing to expand the Scorpio N lineup with the addition of a more affordable automatic transmission option. This new variant will aim to make the SUV’s automatic models more accessible to a broader range of customers. Currently, the automatic versions of the Scorpio N are limited to the higher-spec Z6, Z8 and Z8L trims. However, the upcoming Z4 variant is expected to offer the convenience of an automatic gearbox at a lower price point.

The new Z4 AT variant will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. It will come exclusively in a seven-seat layout and a two-wheel-drive (2WD) configuration. This move is expected to attract customers who seek a balance between pricing and convenience without compromising on core features and performance.

The Scorpio N is powered by either a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol or a 2.2-litre diesel engine, each mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission. With the addition of the automatic option to the Z4 variant, Mahindra appears to be responding to growing demand for mid-range automatic SUVs in the Indian market.

While Mahindra has not confirmed the exact launch date, the new Z4 AT is expected to arrive in the coming weeks, further strengthening the brand’s presence in the competitive SUV segment.
