Maruti Fronx Delta Plus (O) is available with both manual & AMT gearbox options

Maruti Suzuki has expanded its Fronx lineup with the introduction of the Delta Plus (O) variant, offering customers an option with enhanced safety features at a relatively lower price point. Priced at Rs. 8.93 lakhs for the manual transmission option and Rs. 9.43 lakhs for the AMT variant (all prices, ex-showroom), the Delta Plus (O) comes with several upgrades over its standard counterpart, including 6 airbags and a puncture repair kit, making it the most affordable Fronx variant with this level of safety equipment.

The crossover has gained popularity since its launch last year, shares similarities with the Baleno, including the same Heartect platform. Under the hood, the Delta Plus (O) is equipped with a 1.2-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 90 PS and 113 Nm of torque. You get a choice between a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission.

In comparison to the standard Delta Plus, the Delta Plus (O) variant offers additional safety features and convenience, such as the inclusion of 6 airbags (as opposed to two in the standard variant) and a puncture repair kit. This makes it a compelling option for buyers prioritising safety without compromising on affordability.

While the Delta Plus (O) variant sits below the Fronx Zeta, which is priced at Rs. 10.56 lakhs (ex-showroom), it still offers a range of features, including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 4-speaker audio system, automatic AC, day/night IRVM, 3-point seat belts, ISOFIX child seat mounts, ESC (Electronic Stability Program) and HHA (Hill Hold Assist).

It’s worth noting that the Delta Plus is also available with a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 100 PS and 148 Nm of torque.

Maruti Suzuki wants to make the Fronx accessible to a wider audience with the introduction of this new variant.
