Fronx becomes India’s fastest-exported SUV, leading FY25 with 1 lakh shipments
Maruti Suzuki Fronx, has reached a significant export milestone, crossing the 1 lakh unit mark in just 25 months. According to the carmaker, this accomplishment makes it the fastest SUV from India to reach this benchmark in the global market.
Manufactured at Maruti Suzuki’s Gujarat plant, the Fronx has been exported to several international regions including Latin America, the Middle East and Africa since 2023. Its strong performance in overseas markets has helped position it as India’s most exported passenger vehicle for the financial year 2024-25.
Commenting on the achievement, Maruti Suzuki’s Managing Director and CEO, Hisashi Takeuchi, highlighted the company’s sharpened focus on international markets. He emphasised that this strategy has been pivotal in maintaining the brand’s leadership in passenger vehicle exports.
In FY2024-25, Maruti Suzuki recorded its highest-ever export figures, shipping over 3.3 lakh units, a 17.5% increase compared to the previous year. Alongside the Fronx, other popular models such as the Jimny, Baleno, Swift, and Dzire also contributed to the growth in overseas sales.
This export success underscores the growing global appeal of Maruti Suzuki’s portfolio and the automaker’s ability to meet evolving customer demands across various markets.
