Maruti Suzuki Ritz Facelift

Maruti Suzuki has launched a refreshed version of the Ritz diesel, which has 52 changes. The vehicle is now available in ZDi trim and has an increase in fuel efficiency by 10% to 23.2 km/l. Changes to the new Maruti Ritz include new front grille, body side moulding, new audio system with USB, dual tone red interiors, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors, day and night inside rear view mirror, improved rear seating and rear spoiler. The Ritz ZDi gets features such as dual airbags, ABS, alloy wheels and steering mounted audio controls.

The old Ritz diesel used to return a mileage of 21.1 km/l (certified) and the company has been able to improve it by reducing the friction in the engine and optimizing calibration of the motor. The dual-tone red interiors are available on the VDi and ZDi variants. The company has also added three new colours to the car namely breeze blue, mystique red and granite grey. Three colours from before have been carried over which include bakers chocolate, silky silver and superior white.

The new Maruti Suzuki Ritz diesel is powered by the same old 1248cc, 4-cylinder diesel engine. This motor produces a power of 75 PS at 4000 RPM and 190 Nm of torque at 2000 RPM. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and the vehicle reach 60 km/h from standstill in 5.9 seconds.
