There are several new upcoming cars from Mercedes which will be launched here in the coming years

Luxury carmaker Mercedes has announced that the EQS is among 22 upcoming cars which will be launched in India over the next 4 years.

The German brand wants to bolster its dominance in the Indian luxury vehicle market and had already announced that it will bring in 15 new models this year.

Vice President (Sales and Marketing), Mercedes-Benz India, Santosh Iyer was the one who disclosed the fact and he added that the new model launches will also include AMGs and electric vehicles (EVs).

Among the EVs set to come to India is the EQS which was unveiled only this April. It is essentially the S-Class of Mercedes’ electric EQ model range that has a maximum claimed range of 771 km.

Mercedes wanted to bring the A-Class Limousine last year, but could not do so

Iyer also stated that, apart from launching multiple EVs, the brand has its focus set on creating a sound ecosystem for electric cars in India.

If we put aside the 15 vehicles that the firm has earmarked for this year, the number of upcoming Mercedes cars designated for India between 2022 and 2024 will actually be 7.

In 2021, Mercedes-Benz India is targeting a year-on-year (YoY) growth of over 50 percent and make up for lost volumes in previous months due to the lockdowns.
