New Front Grille
The new grille does suit the car well

MG has launched the Hector facelift in India with a starting price tag of Rs. 12.90 lakhs and the Hector Plus 7-seater which costs from Rs. 13.35 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom).

MG Hector Facelift –

From the outside, the car might look the same to a layman. However, it does sport a few changes and the obvious difference that can be seen upfront is the presence of the “Thermopressed” chrome grille.

New 2 tone 18-inch alloy wheels and dark tailgate applique that connects the tail lights complete the changes made to the SUV’s exterior.

However, the changes inside are not so subtle. For starters, the car now features dual tone Champagne and Black upholstery and looks much more premium.

Further, the MG Hector facelift price will also get customers features, in addition to the ones offered already, such as ventilated front seats wireless charging, auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror and Hinglish voice commands.

There are 31 such Hinglish voice commands in total that the car can now understand and respond to and they include “volume badhao”, “sunroof kholo”, “ghar chalo”, among many others.

According to MG, these changes and feature additions have been made after taking customer feedback into consideration.

MG Hector Plus 7-seater –

Essentially a Hector Plus with a bench seat in the middle, the 7-seater version of the SUV continues with the same design theme previously seen on the 6-seater version of the plus variant inside and out.

The new Hector Plus variant comes with all the features that the 6-seater version has and can be had in a new variant named “Select” that sits just below the top-spec Sharp trim.

All variants of the Hector and Hector Plus come with the same oily bits. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol, also offered with mild hybrid tech, putting out 143 PS and 250 Nm remains as is.

Similarly, the 2.0-litre turbo diesel good for 170 PS and 350 Nm also continues to be on offer and likewise, the gearbox options have not changed either.
