JSW MG Motor India has launched the new Majestor in India, positioning it as the country’s first D+ segment SUV. Prices start at Rs. 40.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 4×2 automatic top trim, while the 4×4 automatic top trim is priced at Rs. 44.99 lakh.
The Majestor is aimed at buyers who want a big, premium SUV with serious road presence and proper off-road ability. It gets a twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5 PS and 478.5 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. MG is offering both 2WD and 4WD options, with the latter featuring 10 terrain modes, Crawl Control, and triple differential locks — a first in the segment.
In terms of size, the Majestor is among the biggest SUVs in its class. It measures 5046 mm in length and comes with a massive 2950 mm wheelbase, giving it a strong stance and a spacious cabin. The SUV also boasts 219 mm ground clearance and an 810 mm water-wading capability, making it suitable for tough terrain and adventure driving.
Inside, the focus is on comfort and technology. The cabin gets ventilated and massaging front seats, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, dual wireless chargers, a 220V power outlet, and a 12-speaker JBL sound system. Buyers can choose between 6-seat and 7-seat layouts.
On the safety front, the Majestor comes equipped with Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability systems, and multiple driver assistance features. MG is also backing the SUV with its MG Shield ownership package, which includes warranty, roadside assistance, service benefits, and an assured buyback value of up to 70%.
