Nissan has launched a special edition of the X-Trail in India. The Japanese automaker is launching this special edition of the X-Trail to commemorate the launch of the X-Treme Trail documentary reality show on the National Geographic channel. The Special Edition X-Trail receives a few additional features but the mechanicals remain unchanged. The Nissan X-Trail continues to be powered by a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder, diesel motor that produces 150 BHP of power at 4000 RPM and 320 Nm of torque at 2000 RPM. The butter smooth engine is mated a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox. The Nissan X-treme Trail limited edition is priced at Rs. 22.78 lakhs for the LE variant (ex-showroom, Mumbai). This special edition features the addition of 10 new features including rear spoiler, door visor set, touch screen navigation system, X-treme Trail decals to name a few.

The Nissan X-Trail features disc brakes all around along with hydraulic power assist brakes. With ABS, EBD and brake assist system, the X-Trail has very sharp brakes. The 65-liter tank ensure that you never go out of fuel on trails, while the independant struts at the front and multi-link rear suspension ensures a smooth ride over the worst of roads. Other than the Special Edition, the X-Trail is available in three variants – LE, SLX MT and SLX AT. Some of the key features of the X-Trail include all round airbags (6), ESP, All mode 4×4, leather seats, bi-Xenon headlamps and cruise control.
