Skoda Octavia RS 245 India Launch Officially Confirmed [Video]

The more powerful Octavia RS 245 is about to launch in India.

This is a great news for enthusiasts as one of the most loved cars is coming back! Yes, Skoda India has officially confirmed the re-launch of Octavia RS in their latest teaser video. They say it is coming soon!

However, this is a more powerful version than the one we used to get until now. It is the Skoda Octavia RS 245 that is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI engine producing 245 HP and 370 Nm of torque.

The new RS 245 gets 15 HP more power and 20 Nm more torque than the previous version. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.

The Octavia RS 245 comes with a claimed top speed of 250 km/hr while 0-100 km/hr acceleration time is 6.6 seconds. The RS 230 had a 0-100 km/hr timing of 6.8 seconds.

This model will be a bit different the one we used to get. It will have a lower ground clearance and larger 18-inch alloy wheels along with a few more details.

Only 200 units of the Octavia RS 245 will be available in India via CBU route. This will be the last batch of the current generation Octavia RS to come to India.

We expect the Skoda Octavia RS 245 to be launched at the Auto Expo 2020 with a price tag of Rs. 35 lakhs (ex-showroom).
