Suzuki is all set to launch the third-generation Hayabusa in India in 2021 and the model will come through the CKD route.

Revealed recently, the latest iteration of the superbike comes with revised bodywork and powertrain, while also gaining the latest electronics package.

It is powered by a 1340cc 4-cylinder motor that puts out a maximum of 190 PS and 150 Nm of peak torque, which enables the bike to achieve a 299 km/hr top speed.

There are new wheels, tyres, suspension, lighting units and features like cruise control, hill hold control, among others, offered as standard on the superbike.

Expected to be launched by the second quarter (Q2) of 2021, the new-generation Hayabusa will not be priced as competitively as the second-generation model in India.

While the previous model was priced at Rs. 13.75 lakhs (ex-showroom) before it was discontinued, its replacement will likely be priced around Rs. 17 lakhs (ex-showroom).

While the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa launch is expected to happen by Q2 this year, some dealers have begun accepting unofficial bookings for motorcycle already.
