Toyota Urban Cruiser Colours
The rebadged first gen Maruti Vitara Brezza is no more on sale

Toyota Urban Cruiser discontinued, 0 sales last month

Toyota Urban Cruiser, the rebadged version of the previous generation Maruti Vitara Brezza has been discontinued. No sales of the compact SUV was reported in October 2022.

The Japanese carmaker has also removed the Urban Cruiser from their official Indian website. Their product page currently lists Glanza, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Innova Crysta, Hilux, Fortuner, Camry and Vellfire.

We expect Toyota to introduce the updated Urban Cruiser based on the new generation Maruti Brezza that comes with a completely new design language, new interior and more features on offer.

The outgoing Urban Cruiser was available in three variants – Mid, High and Premium. It was powered by a Maruti sourced 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 103 HP and 138 Nm of torque.

Toyota claimed 17.03 km/l of fuel efficiency for the manual version while the automatic version with its mild-hybrid tech returned 18.76 km/l.

It was launched in September 2020 with the price ranging between Rs. 8.40 lakhs and Rs. 11.30 lakhs (ex-showroom). It competed with the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, etc.
