Triumph Scrambler 400 XC Launched, Features Wire-Spoke Wheels With Tubeless Tyres & Added Engine & Sump Protection

Triumph has launched the Scrambler 400 XC. It is positioned above the Scrambler 400 X. The Scrambler 400 XC features tubeless, wire-spoked wheels, engine and sump guard, windscreen and much more.

The Triumph Scrambler 400 XC is similar to the Scrambler 400 X, featuring the same engine, chassis, and suspension setup. The 400 XC retains a modern-classic silhouette. There are cross-spoke rims with tubeless tyres along with an aluminium sump guard and engine guard.

Wheels & Suspension

The cross-spoke rims measure 19 inches in the front and 17 inches at the rear. The front consists of an Upside-Down fork suspension, and the rear has a monoshock setup. Additionally, there are also adjustable clutch and brake levers.

Features

Triumph offers safety features such as Traction Control, Off-road ABS, Ride-By-Wire Throttle, Torque-assist clutch and key with immobiliser. There are also features to improve convenience, such as a USB charging socket, all-LED lighting, including the DRL. Additionally, there are also 20+ accessories to choose from for the Scrambler 400 XC.

Engine

The Triumph Scrambler 400 XC is powered by a 400cc engine producing 40 HP and 37.5 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Triumph tunes the engine specifically for the Scramble.. Not to mention, there is also a raised stainless twin-skin header system with a stainless-steel silencer.

Outlook

Triumph offers three colours with the Scrambler 400 XC: Racing Yellow, Storm Grey and Vanilla White. The Scrambler is priced at Rs. 2.94 lakhs (ex-showroom). Overall, Triumph has produced an attractive Scrambler for a reasonable price, competing with the KTM 390 Adventure X and, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
