The asking price of the Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is Rs. 1.50 lakh more expensive than the Trident 660’s cost

Triumph Motorcycles has launched the Tiger Sport 660 with a sticker price of Rs. 8.95 lakhs (ex-showroom), today in India. This is now the most affordable motorcycle from the marque’s ‘Tiger’ range in India.

Based on the Trident 660, the middleweight tourer machine has distinctive styling to help it stand out from the roadster. It comes with a half fairing up front, a height-adjustable flyscreen, full LED lighting (twin headlights), integrated pannier mounts and a TFT dash.

It also features teardrop mirrors, fork protectors, and an underslung stainless-steel silencer and is available in the following colourways: Lucerne Blue and Sapphire Black, Korosi Red and Graphite (with sporty graphics) and, Graphite and Black.

Powering the bike is a 660cc, 3-cylinder motor that makes 80 BHP at 10,250 RPM and 64 Nm of torque at 6250 RPM. It is teamed to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch.

When its 17.2-litre fuel tank if filled to the brim, the Tiger Sport 660 weighs 206 kg. Suffice it to say that the tourer has enough poke to attain serious speed in a matter of seconds.

The bike has 16,000 km or 12 months service interval

The bike has span-adjustable brake and clutch levers, ride-by-wire throttle, 2 riding modes (Road and Rain), traction control (can be completely turned off), ABS, and an immobiliser.

At the front, the Tiger Sport 660 is equipped with 41 mm Showa upside-down cartridge forks and Showa monoshock on the rear with remote hydraulic preload adjustability (both have 150 mm of wheel travel).

It has a seat height of 835 mm and a wheelbase of 1418 mm

The Tiger Sport 660 rides on 5-spoke, 17-inch wheels (120/70-section up front and 180/55-section in the back) and its stopping power comes from Nissin 2-piston calipers clamping twin 310 mm front discs and a Nissin single-piston caliper for the single 255 mm disc at the back.

And finally, the middleweight motorcycle comes with a 2-year, unlimited mileage warranty, which, the British manufacturer says, can be extended by up to 2 years.
