Almost all the automakers have their bikes listed on this list while it features popular products such as the Hero Hunk, Bajaj Discover, etc.

2016 January 20 Least Selling Bikes

Automakers love January as the negative numbers of December start reviving during the first month, however, there are times when even January is not able to help some products and they end up being disasters on the sales chart. We are here with a list of 20 least selling bikes in January (under 300cc in displacement).

There were a number of bikes such as the Hero Impulse and TVS Star City 125 which were not even able to open their sales, however, we decided to focus on the ones that at least started their sales. The top scorer is the Kawasaki Z250 with just 5 units in January while runner-up is the Ninja 300 with 46 units.

Other than these exotics, affordable commuters such as the TVS Victor GLX also feature on this list, however, it is expected to change with the new model launched in January-end so sales went full flow only in February. The next to follow is the Honda CB Unicorn 160 with 52 units. The newly launched Mahindra Mojo does not seem to be able to hit the right chord as it ended the month with just 64 units.

The Hero Karizma also appears in the list as the facelift was not able to impress buyers. The Suzuki Hayate and Slingshot have never returned satisfactory results and the newly launched Yamaha R3 is finding it very difficult to establish a ground for itself in the Indian market. The Bajaj Discover is losing its popularity as it has started looking dated against competitors.

The Honda CBR150R and CBR250R siblings are both least sellers with 652 and 212 units respectively due to the age-old design and lack of marketing. The Hero HF Dawn has always been a slow seller while the Xtreme is not able to cope up with the growing competition. Other than this, there are average performers like the KTM Duke and RC 200, Hero Ignitor, Yamaha SZ-RR, Hero Hunk, Mahindra Centuro and Hero Achiever.
