Honda CBR150R Thailand New Colours

Honda Motorcycle Thailand has updated the CBR150R with new colours for the market that lends a fresh new appeal to the 150cc motorcycle. The visual update includes dual-tone styling with carbon fibre accents that give the CBR150R a completely new look along with a more sporty presence. The bike is available in three dual-tone shades which include Iconic Red, Modish white and Double black, while the carbon fibre inserts are a common element across the new livery. The upper-half of the front fairing gets totally engulfed in the new paint scheme, while the lower-half has been given a piano black finish to compliment the new look.

Apart from the new colours, there have been no changes to the design and the Honda CBR150R continues to look like a baby CBR250R, while the engine and power outputs also remain the same. Powering the CBR150R is a 149.4cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve, DOHC single-cylinder engine producing 17.57 BHP of power at 10,500 RPM and 12.66 Nm of torque at 8500 RPM, paired to a 6-speed transmission. The engine is mounted on a Twin-Tube Diamond frame and with a kerb weight of 138 kgs, the bike provides an impressive power to weight ratio.

The Honda CBR150R was launched almost two years ago in India and has not seen any significant update ever since. With new competition coming into the segment, this would be the right time for Honda to extend the new colour schemes to the CBR150R in the country as well, especially with the festive season set to commence. Recent reports also suggest that the CBR150R facelift with dual headlamps is also on the cards and could hit the South Asian market later this year. However, expect Honda to get the facelifted version to India only in 2015.

The Honda CBR150R is a brilliant machine with a rather optimistic pricing of Rs. 1,30,422 (on-road, Delhi). But, if you factor in that gem of a motor along with brilliant riding dynamics and impressive ergonomics; the CBR150R justifies its position completely as a true blood CBR machine. This 150cc bike competes against the Yamaha R15, KTM Duke 200 and the upcoming RC 200 in the segment. You can checkout our complete review of the Honda CBR150R HERE.
