The Audi A6 Matrix has been launched in India and it comes with a whole lot of improvements and changes, making a good case for itself in the luxury sedan segment.
Audi India has launched the A6 facelift today and the vehicle is priced at Rs. 49.5 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The facelifted A6 will be available only in the S-Line trim. The S-Line variant is the top-of-the-line fully loaded variant that comes with all the bells and features. The A6 has always been a stylish and comfortable luxury sedan and the 2015 model is an even better package. The overall body shape remains the same but there are various styling tweaks given to the sedan. The A6 now comes with Matrix LED headlights, that are also found on the mighty A8L. The turn signals also come with Audi’s Dynamic LEDs. The tail lights also get redesigned LEDs while the exhaust tips have a trapezoidal shape now.
Both the bumpers of the A6 have been restyled along with the side skirts. The lower part of the boot lid gets a nice-looking chrome strip. The insides also have a lot of significant additions and the interior colour scheme is now Flint Grey. The sedan gets a new infotainment system with features like voice activation, handwriting recognition and remote control for the rear seat passengers. A multi-zone climate control system is also offered and a new button has been added that allows rear seat passengers to move the front passenger seat forward.
The vehicle comes with glass fibre reinforced polymer springs for the suspension. The new springs are also much lighter than the conventional steel units. The 2015 Audi A6 comes with only one engine option which is the 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine that is mated to an 7-speed S-Tronic automatic gearbox. The oil-burner belts out 190 BHP of power and 380 Nm of torque. Audi has been on a product offensive in India by launching a whole lot of vehicles here. The A6 is a very good choice in its segment but it also has some very competitive rivals like the Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5-Series and Jaguar XF.
