Chevrolet has launched the updated version of the Cruze and this is the final facelift the sedan receives before the all-new generation arrives in the market.

Exteriors – The Chevrolet Cruze has always been a looker and the sedan has a lot of sporty elements. The updated model now comes with redesigned front bumper, grille, rear spoiler and a new boot lid spoiler. The vehicle also gets striking LED DRLs. The new fog lamps get projectors too. Overall, the mild changes to exterior components have made the Cruze look fresher than before.

Interiors – While the dashboard and centre console continue to have the same layout, there are quite a few changes to the equipment list and features like MyLink infotainment system, rear view camera, etc. are available. The infotainment system comes with a 7-inch touch screen and gets functions like internet radio, Grace Note and Siri Eyes Free compatibility. Features like Bluetooth streaming, voice recognition and touch controls for the AC are also present. Another highlight is the new multifunction steering wheel.

Engine – The 2016 Chevrolet Cruze comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged VCDI diesel engine that pumps out 166 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque. The oil-burner is offered with a choice of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The manual variant has a fuel efficiency of 17.9 km/l while the automatic gearbox churns out 14.81 km/l.

Safety – The 2016 Chevrolet Cruze comes with dual front airbags and two side airbags. ABS with EBD is also on offer while the executive sedan also gets a Passive Entry Passive Start feature. There’s an immobiliser, anti-theft alarm and auto door unlock feature in case of a crash.
