Variant details and equipment list of the much-awaited Hyundai Creta have finally been leaked. The vehicle will compete with the Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and Mahindra Scorpio.

The Hyundai Creta is one compact SUV that has created a hell lot of buzz. It will be launched on the 21st July and finally all the variant details and features have been leaked. The SUV will be offered in the following variants – Base (L), S (GL), S+, SX, SX+ and SX (O). The Base L variant will be offered with 1.6-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engines. It gets the following features – 2 DIN audio system with CD, AUX, USB and iPod connectivity, black radiator grille, body-coloured rear garnish, body-coloured door handles, manual AC and manual ORVM adjustment. The tyre size is 205/65/R16 with steel rims.

The S (GL) variant of the Hyundai Creta gets the following features – front fog lamps, rear defogger, 5-inch touchscreen audio system with MP3 and Bluetooth, roof rack, map lamp with sunglass holder, rear parcel tray, luggage lamp, rear armrest with cup holders, steering-mounted audio controls, electrically adjustable ORVMs with turn indicators, height adjustable driver’s seat, rear power outlet, rear adjustable head restraint, luggage net and hook and remote fuel lid and boot opening. The S (GL) also carries forward the tyre size and engine options from the L variant.

The S+ variant gets only the 1.4-litre diesel engine. It gets the following features – dual front airbags, AVN system with shark fin antenna, rear parking camera with Adaptive Guideline Sensors, chrome rear garnish and electric folding feature added to the already existing electrically adjustable rearview mirrors with turn indicators. This variant also gets 205/65 R16 alloy wheels but the spare wheel is still a steel rim.

The SX variant gets only the 1.6-litre diesel engine. It gets the following features – silver + chrome front grille, LED positioning lamps, projector headlights, automatic AC with cluster ionizer and rear wiper/washer. Surprisingly, this variant misses out on rear parking sensors. The SX variant also gets alloy wheels in the same size but in this trim the wheels come in a Clean Silver shade.

The SX+ variant is offered with 1.6-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel engines. The diesel engine will be offered with both manual as well as automatic transmissions. This variant carries forward the equipment of the previous variants and adds the following – smart key with push button start, child seat anchor (only with AT) and 60:40 split rear seats (only with AT).

The SX (O) which is the top most trim comes with 17-inch alloy wheels with 216/60 spec tyres and a spare alloy too. This variant is offered only with the 1.6-litre diesel engine. It gets the features from the previous variants and adds the following – dual front + side + curtain airbags, 7-inch AVN system with shark fin antenna, chrome door handles, supervision cluster, artificial leather pack for the seats and steering wheel, door armrest and console armrest, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA) Control.
