Toyota has launched the sportier version of the Fortuner, the Fortuner TRD Sportivo at Rs. 31.01 lakhs.

The Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo has been launched in India and is priced at Rs. 31.01 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Fortuner TRD Sportivo gets only cosmetic changes and no mechanical changes. The Fortuner TRD Sportivo is available only in the 4×2 AT variant in Pearl White colour.

Looks-wise, the Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo gets sporty front and rear bumper spoiler, TRD badged radiator grille and lower grille cover, 18-inch TRD alloy wheels and TRD decals on the exterior. By the way, TRD stands for Toyota Racing Development.

The interior gets minimal changes. You get red accents on the centre console and seats and red stitching on the seats and the dashboard. The Fortuner TRD Sportivo also gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Navigation, reverse park assist and push-button start.

The Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo is powered by a 2.8-litre diesel engine that churns out 177 HP of power and 420 Nm of torque. This oil burner unit comes paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission with sequential and paddle shifts.

Other features in the SUV are Eco and Power drive modes, Active Traction Control, all 4 disc brakes with ABS, EBD and Brake Assist, 7 airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Start Assist Control, LED headlamps with DRLs and LED fog lamps. The Toyota Fortuner competes with the Ford Endeavour in the Indian market and is currently the top-selling vehicle in its segment.
