The 2018 BMW X3 has been launched in India with a petrol motor. The Sports Activity Vehicle is priced at Rs. 56.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, India) and is currently available only in the Luxury Line variant (X3 xDrive30i Luxury Line). The car is locally produced at the company’s facility in Chennai and can be ordered from dealerships across India from today.

Like the xDrive 20d Luxury Line (diesel) trim, the petrol variant too packs in the same amount of features. To name a few, there are fully adaptive LED headlights with LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, LED tail-lights and 19-inch light alloy wheels. Coming to the interior, the SUV comes with 12.3-inch Multifunction Instrument Display, 10.25-inch iDrive touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and BMW Apps, 3-zone climate control, 16-speaker Harmon Kardon Surround Sound system, rear-view camera with park assist, Vernasca leather upholstery, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof and wireless charging.

The BMW X3 petrol comes powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, TwinPower Turbo engine that produces 252 HP of power at 5200 RPM and 350 Nm of peak torque at 1450-4800 RPM. The motor comes mated to an 8-speed automatic Steptronic transmission with paddle shifters and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/hr in 6.3 seconds.
