Earlier this year, Hero MotoCorp had discontinued the Passion X-Pro along with other products in a bid to tweak its portfolio to favour upcoming scooters and premium motorcycles. Headquartered in Gurugram, the company has been facing heat from its erstwhile partner Honda off late. To give a boost to the commuter range, Hero has launched the 2018 Passion X-Pro in our market priced at Rs. 54,189/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Passion X-Pro shares its powertrain with the Passion Pro. The 109.15cc air-cooled, single-cylinder motor produces 9.4 PS of power at 7500 RPM and 9 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 9.5-litres. 0-60 km/hr comes up in 7.45 seconds.

While the mechanicals remain unchanged, Hero has changed the design of the headlamp and turn indicators. The motorcycle also is BS-4 compliant and gets AHO (all-time headlamp ON) and i3S start-stop system which improves fuel efficiency considerably. The suspension system comprises of telescopic forks at the front and 5-step adjustable shock absorbers at the rear. The Passion X-Pro also gets tubeless tyres, alloy wheels, electric start and front disc brake.

Some other cosmetic changes include a redesigned fuel tank with flush fuel lid, new shrouds, revised rear cowl, dual tone mirrors and LED tail lamp. It also gets a side-step indicator. The Passon X-Pro is offered in the following colours – Sports Red, Black with Sports Red, Black with Frost Blue, Black with Heavy Grey and Force Silver Metallic. The vehicle is available in both drum and disc variants. In its latest avatar, the motorcycle is now better equipped to compete with the likes of the Honda Livo and TVS Victor.
