Honda had showcased the 2018 CB Hornet 160R at the Auto Expo in February and now have announced the prices for the same. The 2018 Hornet 160R price starts from Rs. 84,675/- (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is available in four variants – STD, CBS, ABS STD and ABS DLX. The updated Hornet 160R is the first bike in its segment to offer a single-channel ABS as optional and apart from the Striking Green, Mars Orange, Athletic Blue Metallic and Sports Red colours, the motorcycle is also available in a new Dazzle Yellow Metallic colour.

In terms of visual enhancements, the 2018 CB Hornet 160R gets a new LED headlight (segment-first) with a ‘Hornet’ insignia on the bezel. There are revised body graphics and the motorcycle now gets a Cool Blue backlight for its fully digital instrument console plus a hazard light switch. For added convenience, there is a low maintenance seal chain on offer.

The updated Hornet 160R continues to draw power from a 162.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 14.9 BHP of power at 8500 RPM and 14.5 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM. The powerplant comes mated to a 5-speed transmission. The vehicle uses telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are via a 276 mm petal disc for the front and a 220 mm petal disc (optional) or a 130 mm drum brake at the rear. The CBS and ABS DLX variants get disc brake on either ends, while the other two come with a front disc only. The bike uses 100-section and 140-section tyres for the front & rear respectively.
