Maruti has launched CNG variants of the Ertiga and Ertiga Tour M, with a 10.86 kg CNG tank.
Maruti Suzuki has always introduced CNG versions of its popular vehicles from the Arena portfolio and the new Ertiga now follows suit. The automaker has launched a CNG variant of the standard Ertiga and the taxi-spec Ertiga Tour M, priced at Rs. 8.88 lakhs and Rs. 8.83 lakhs respectively (ex-showroom).
The Maruti Ertiga CNG is based on the VXi trim of the vehicle and gets features like dual front airbags, ABS, power steering, front and rear power windows, seatbelt reminder, rear parking sensors, 4-speakers, steering-mounted controls, audio system with AUX, USB and Bluetooth, 12V power outlets, etc.
The CNG tank is placed below the luggage bay and it has a capacity of 10.86 kgs of gas (60-litre water capacity). The claimed fuel efficiency is 26.2 kms/kg. The Ertiga CNG gets the same 1.5-litre engine which produces 105 HP and 138 Nm on the petrol variants and 92 HP and 122 Nm on the CNG variants. The CNG variants miss out on the SHVS system.
