2020 Hyundai Creta Records Over 55,000 Bookings, Diesel In High Demand
Hyundai has once again tasted success with the Creta that is in its second generation.
The 2020 Hyundai Creta has recorded over 55,000 bookings since its launch in March and it is the diesel models that are more preferred by buyers.
About 60 percent of bookings are for the oil burner variants, while it was also the most searched car on Hyundai “Click to Buy” with 30 percent enquiries and 76 percent bookings.
With its feature-rich package, an array of powertrain options and attractive pricing, the midsize SUV has been a huge success. Taking into account the first generation model that was replaced, over 4.85 lakh customers have purchased a Creta so far.
It is also the best selling SUV in India for the months of May and June, despite the sales slump the entire industry witnessed.
Further aiding 2020 Hyundai Creta bookings are three BS6-compliant engines – a 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine producing 115 PS and 144 Nm, 1.4-litre Kappa turbo petrol that puts out 140 PS and 242 Nm and a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine producing 115 PS and 250 Nm.
They are mated to a 6-speed manual, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed manual and auto transmissions, respectively and offer segment-best fuel economy figures.
Some key features offered on the Hyundai Creta are drive modes, paddle shifters, ventilated seats, voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, Bose premium sound system, among various others.
