The facelifted version of the current Hyundai Verna has been spied overseas, gets drastic changes.

The front of the new Verna looks quite sporty

The current Hyundai Verna was launched in 2017 in India and the Korean automaker had been working on a facelifted version of the sedan that is set to hit the markets in 2020. The Hyundai Verna facelift has now been spotted without any camouflage.

The front of the car now looks more aggressive and the curvy design of the current model has given way to a sharp design with too many bold elements. The grille is now blacked out and the new headlamps merge with the grille. The headlamps get a lot of detailing inside too.

The rear of the facelifted Hyundai Verna does get a hit or miss design. Again, there are a lot of sharp elements and the number plate holder has been moved downwards. There’s a red strip which runs across the boot lid, connecting both the tail lamps. The new Verna is expected to get new alloy wheels too.

The cabin of the 2020 Hyundai Verna will come with slight changes too. The sedan will also get more equipment and the Venue’s connected car features will also make way to the Verna. Expect Hyundai to revise the colour scheme of the interiors too.

The 2020 Hyundai Verna is expected to get new engines just like the Creta because of the upcoming BS6 norms. The sedan will get 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines and the power/torque outputs might be revised. There is also a possibility of the petrol engine getting a hybrid system.
